And she also offered their grandparents, you know, just an easy kind of job at the baby home and a house to live in.
The grandparents were living a very rough life in poverty.
And that would have been a very tempting offer for them to take that so that they could keep the twins.
But they said they knew their grandmother was sick.
She had stomach cancer.
And so they would just be orphaned again very soon afterwards.
And so their commitment to their grandchildren was quite extraordinary in prioritising a family for them above an easy life for themselves.
Yeah, she did.
So after we'd met them that day, we sat at Amy's house that night and she had her own five adopted children toddling around, which was amazing to watch.
And she said, there's something I haven't told you about the twins.
They have a brother and he's not much older.
He's still one himself, so nearly two.
But he's near death.
He's starving.
He's in the care of his grandparents still.
And we didn't have space at the baby home for all three.
So we could only take the twins.
But we're not sure if he will survive.
But the grandparents want all three to stay together.
