But, I mean, if I had to answer, I guess I don't think there is a why, really.
It's funny, the quote, the thought that comes to mind is really like a kind of a cheesy quote that I'm sure is printed on a bunch of mugs and t-shirts, but it's Thich Nhat Hanh.
I'm going to get it wrong, but it's something like, we're here to awaken from our illusion of separateness.
And I don't really see that as an answer to the why question, although that's how it's framed in his quote.
We are here for that purpose.
I think if there is a purpose worth being here for, that's kind of the ultimate, I think.
I haven't really had this conversation with my kids.
I mean, we have lots of deep conversations and they're all kind of pertaining to each moment or whatever they're facing.
I think career is difficult because in so many ways, I just feel like I'm lucky that I ended up being able to do for a living the thing I love to do.
But the truth is- There's no such thing as luck.
