So deputies had responded to the home of Rhonda Paulinas for a welfare check back on May 30th. Apparently, the little boy's school had called the police, reporting that little six-year-old Ramil Pierre hadn't attended school in over two weeks. And because of that, something just seemed incredibly off to them. So on May 30th, the police show up to Rhonda's home and conduct this welfare check.

And upon their arrival, they found Rhonda just standing in the driveway. So they inform her that they're there to perform a wellness check on her six-year-old son and check on him. But then, like no big deal, just super casually, just very calm and collected, Rhonda just willingly leads the police to her son's room.

And sadly, when they entered the room, that's where police discovered his dead body, just lying on his bed. Sheriff Richard Del Toro explained that Rhonda told the detectives that she had attempted an exorcism on her six-year-old son.

You've got to be, there's got to be mental illness at play because if there's not, I don't even know what you would, how you would describe this. I don't even want to say justify, but how do you explain this, right? So thankfully, Rhonda was arrested and she was booked into jail where she has now been charged with second degree murder. But this story is just beyond upsetting.
