So after being rushed to the hospital, Keith was immediately put on life support.

The doctors were doing everything that they could, but his injuries, they were just too severe.

They were catastrophic.

I mean, a gunshot wound to the head.

And we know not many people come back from that.

So it was clear, I mean, this was going to be a fight that he likely would not win.

And while the doctors did work desperately to save him, the detectives were already zeroing in on the person that they needed to talk with first about this, possibly even a prime suspect, his wife Darlene.

And Keith was technically still alive, although barely, when they asked her to come down to the station to answer a few questions.
