I was at fire camp every morning.

So we'd get up every morning, right?

Boom.

We'd get up, have breakfast.

If you want breakfast, right after breakfast, you would go do exercise and then they'd take you to this site called

called Mount Pardee, and it was a 10 mile hike, and at the end of the hike, so the first five miles, it's all flat ground, you was good, you jogging, you got your Nomex, your backpack, all of those stuff, but the last five miles when you coming back, you going up what's called the elevator, and it sounded like something you was explaining, but I'm talking about this thing was real steep to where

If you slipped anything and you was going down, it was over with.

You know what I'm saying?

10 miles?

10 miles every morning, sure.

10 miles.

We had to do Mount Pardee 10 every morning.

And what if you just start walking?

If you didn't make time, you fell, you was going to get kicked out of fire camp.

So this was like...

training for the fire line.

So you actually doing the physical training and you got to do the educational part, like the schooling training as well.

So after we finished that jog and all that, then we go to school later on to do testing and stuff like that.
