Companies don't do this because they're responsible, irresponsible in various different ways, but they basically follow the law most of the time.
If you have something that isn't so constrained as a large US company with shareholders and government looking at it, that could be a very different thing.
You can imagine AI systems with the capability and data of a giant tech company with trillions of dollars in market capitalization,
But without sort of anybody actually keeping it in compliance, that's a very scary thing.
Certainly, we should be having governance of some sort.
Part of it has to be legal, like liability.
Part of it should be standards that the companies can agree amongst themselves, like they do in banking and other things.
And then part of it has to be enforcement, because if you just have self-enforcement of anything, then there's going to be, again, a race to the bottom.
Yeah, it was great to be here and I've had great conversations with people here.
I mean, I do think that most of the people here are not like evil people that want humanity to be destroyed, right?
They're just building, they want to build cool stuff and we should build cool stuff.
But we should also take care that we're not building the crazy things that nobody really wants.
