This isn't the full version of Kyler Gordon.
But you had Jaquan Brisker have β
probably the best game of his NFL career last night.
And who knows?
Is that going to be the last game of Jaquan Brisker's Bears career?
And you think back to the early, really even the offseason, with the way things went for Brisker last year, the concussions over and over again, not being able to get back into the lineup, the questions about if his career would even continue.
played the entire year, stayed healthy, and then closed out his season last night with what I believe is the best game of his career.
As impactful as he was as a pass rusher, as a run defender, he's at the second level and running the alley from the third level, filling run lanes with physicality.
And he was a part of that secondary that just had that.
the entire receiver core for the Rams gloved up throughout the game.
And so when you have that, you add in Gordon and Brisker as a part of the blitz package, and then you have simulated pressures as well, where Stafford looks as confused as we've seen Matt Stafford look the entire year.
And then once Sean McVay got some commitment to the run game going, yeah, they got the game back at their tempo and to their advantage.
So it was a Bears defense that still showed some holes that they'll have to try to plug up over the offseason, but...
That was as good a defensive game as we've seen from Dennis Allen leading the Bears throughout this year.
We've learned nothing else about Ben Johnson.
He is ten toes down.
There's no doubt about that, man.
Now, for me, in the moment, yeah, there were some of those fourth downs.
Really, over the last two weeks, I felt like I really believe the two playoff games is an enhanced version, a ramped-up version of Ben Johnson's aggression.
We had 17 games of regular season data points to evaluate, and yes, Ben Johnson went for fourth downs.
