Now, the same thing goes for our so-called Man of Sins.
He was stuffed with all sorts of symbols of evil.
And in both cases, the machine was likely activated to enhance the already present... evil, for lack of a more precise word.
But whatever evil really is, in both cases, the machine seemed to increase its potency, granting life to the Man of Sins and allowing that gigantic thing the ability to manifest for a short time.
I guess that's our cue.
Where the hell's it coming from?
If I didn't know better, I'd say that fucker's getting ready to take another run at us.
Listen, I think that that's a hard question because I think that there was a portion of these conversations that were not good faith, where the Bears were really trying to get as many options and offers on the table as possible because they thought that put them in a position of strength.
And I understand that.
But I think when you're dealing with this type of development,
that is extremely complicated, any kind of misleading, any kind of misnomer, any kind of critical omission can turn into a detrimental element of it.
And so I think we're now at the position where we're having good faith conversations.
I do trust what I'm hearing from them, which is why I'm leaning on what they have been very clear about since our last conversations, which is that they want to still find a way to pursue something here in the state of Illinois.
Here's the advantageous position the Bears find themselves here in the state of Illinois.
You've got two bills moving concurrently.
You've got a House bill that has made its way over to the Senate.
You've got the Senate bill that has now made its way over to the House.
Both of those bills have some type of property tax certainty in them.
Both of those bills, I think, could be used for the Bears to move forward with what they need to do here in the state of Illinois.
And so we went from a conversation where, you know, four months ago, it was that there was no bill that had moved at all.
