So not only were they a big KPMG client, but they've been using them for 68 years.

you know, auditor you think you trust, it's the one that's been looking after you for 68 years.

Oh, 100%.

Like the irony of KPMG trying to keep documents to protect its own confidentiality when the whole reason everyone's sitting there is because some other company's confidentiality was breached is just gold.

And, you know, that just reverberated, I think, around the day.

James, were there any other bombshells that sort of caught your ear?

Yeah, just lastly, James, you've seen a few of these, more than me.

What do you think the temperature's like in the room of these?

To me, this one seemed really quite dramatic and there was absolutely no wriggle room for any sort of sympathy at all for KPMG.

Like, have the senators, have the parliamentarians, have they dialed it up a notch?

I think they have.

Yeah, I think they're getting better at the stunts as well.

I mean, like, you know, asking the former head of audit at KPMG how much he earns, you know, he kind of fumbles around for a bit.

They ask again.

He fumbles around a bit more.

They ask again.

And he finally says, oh, 1.7 to 1.8 mil.
