I wouldn't be against in the second round of games bringing Hickey up.
to a more central role and something like more of a something that he played with Galway last year that caused you know every time we played against him at Bowsie caused us awful trouble and every time we seen him so I'd be kind of saying right we don't have Douglas James Taylor we don't have we have a couple of teenagers there you know Martin and Schrodes who had a great game tonight but I think if we don't
look in the free agent market or we don't have a plan B for Colin Whelan it's not fair for him to be holding the mantle up there and running the lines and he's running the channels the whole time we need to be like if we're talking about titles and and getting to where we need to be it's it's
It needs to be that little bit more.
We need to go and get it rather than, okay, we'll hold off till the 86th minute and get a winner from a corner if we're lucky sort of attitude.
And don't get me wrong, that's been ultra super critical from where we've come from and where we are and it's working for us.
But I just thought, like, we have...
Patrick Hickey there he attacks the ball he's able to and might just give us a different dimension I think it's a plan B but I think it's something that I kind of called before the Dundalk game and I think moving into the second half of the season we need to be I know Douglas James Taylor is supposed to be back but
It's not something we can rely on.
So we need to look at plan B and we need to look at how teams won't figure us out quickly when we're doing that.
And I think that kind of fell into that kind of narrative tonight when you're looking at the game.
You're kind of saying, look, you can see what they're doing.
It's nice.
It's all tippy-tappy and it's all...
in and around and nice stuff but let's turn the dial on the game lads let's kind of know how are we scoring goals how are we able to get it it's brute force and strength and ability and if you look at all the games across the leagues tonight it is that sort of
muscle in and get your goals sort of attitude.
The nice flowery stuff is good and it gets you so far but let's call it spade a spade.
That's where Bo's are going to hurt teams mostly if we can get a centre forward that can do a plan B option.
Do you disagree with that?
Yeah, but again, you hit the nail on the head there.
