Probably the hubby's not the problem.
I've got three kids here as well, so they've all been sworn to secrecy and they're at the furthest part of the house from me.
So fingers crossed.
They did threaten to kind of do an interruption like that.

They did threaten that, but we thought it wouldn't work for radio, so I tried to convince them otherwise.
Ah, well, it is challenging.
My bookshop is actually still open, but I am not working at it.
So basically it's the owners are kind of keeping it going in a much more reduced way.
form and relying a lot as most bookshops would be on orders rather than in-shop visits so there's sort of the days of walking in and browsing to your heart's content which so many people enjoy doing sadly not here at the moment but you know hopefully one day we'll get back to that
I think for so many people, and it quite surprised me when I started to sell books, is that unlike a lot of retail where people are in a rush, people are often in a bookshop
have given themselves time to wander and to look and to think about it.
So it's like a bit of a โ so for a lot of people it's a very relaxing thing to do and that they are deliberately giving themselves the time to do it.
Well, perhaps now is not the time to start.

Well, I think I'm going to go for a book that I've actually already recommended previously on the bookshelf, which was, and I know you've read it too, Kate, Eligible by Curtis Sinfeld.
Oh, that's funny.
Because you really do want something like the humour element at the moment, you know, is something you really want.
And so that one you might remember, and for those who haven't read it, is the retelling of Pride and Prejudice, and it is a hoot.
