I scream without opening my mouth.
I weep without shedding tears.
I eat without devouring the world.
My kidneys are eaten with great enthusiasm, as is my spleen.
I never did have my gallbladder out, but it is most definitely gone now.
Same with my appendix and my pancreas.
All made into full meals for my rat friends.
My spine is cracked open, and I get drowsy as the fluid within quickly leaks out, being lapped up by a thousand rodent tongues.
You will never be alone again.
The rats leave me.
I am hollow, an empty shell of skin and bones.
With my eyes clear, I watch as Inmate Zero collapses in on itself.
His rats fall to the floor, then scurry onto the darkness lost from sight.
My body is no longer empty as a klaxon blares.
Organs regrow.
My spinal column fuses back together and fills with fluid.
All of my blood pumps once more, moving to my frozen extremities.
The clacks and wails.
Then the interview room starts to move.
Faster and faster it goes.
