It's because if I make a factory and I sell, let's say widgets, And I'm selling these widgets and I can make them for $20 and I sell them for 50.

So let's say I sell it for 100. So that's like a big profit, $80 profit for each one. So in order to increase my production, I have to, you know, let's say I double it. Well, I'm still making 80 a widget, but now I have to have twice as many employees. The factory has to be twice as big. I'm using twice as much electricity, twice as much material. So my profit is still linear.
