They wanted me to just cool out, dude, and wait for Johnny to leave.

Or a different backpack.

Because I also don't like to put myself in a position where, oh, it's tougher for me.

Everybody has some burden to bear.

I don't think they realize how important truth is in the long run.

You know, in that moment, it's like, ha ha, we beat you.

But they don't realize I'm a human being.

I'm a person with a legacy.

And I want to inspire people to know not just black kids, but to know dream and you can win.

And I want my story to reflect the truth of what that journey was like and what that ending was like.

I've seen two books.

My son is involved with a bookstore in Leimert Park.

And, you know, I raised him right.

He could have done it in Beverly Hills, but he's doing it in Leimert Park and doing a lot of business over there.

And one day he shows me two books that are about me.

And it's one of the times when I said, I got to write a book.

I just didn't know how to go about it because I realized I don't even know these books exist or who these authors are.

We tried to search one of the authors and it's not even a real name.

It was written under an alias.

And I'm like, she didn't even want me to know she was telling this stuff about me, you know?
