And I think we need to like normalize that shit because I think we're creating a generation of people who their expectations of themselves is too high and their own lives is too high.
And they look at their life and they can't see the magic in it.
They can't see the joy in it because they're
their expectation is so different.
I have just created a real sense of gratitude in my life.
And I know it sounds like, it sounds ridiculous, but it's come with practice.
And now I see it reflected in Buddy because he picks up on it where so often he looks around, how lucky are we?
I love my life.
I love my lunch.
Thanks, mum.
How lucky are we to have spaghetti for dinner?
And my husband, who tends to sometimes be on the neg side, will just look at me and be like, with a look that says, thank fuck he's taking after you.
So I think that is the antidote to it, honestly, is you just force your brain to find something to be grateful for.
And I know we're told this, like there's data that backs it up.
We know that gratitude is powerful, but...
We're not doing it.
I know.
Because you have to make it a practice.
and I think gratitude is so key but how did you start actually did you keep a journal what was your I started keeping a journal but I don't have the ability to like stick to anything so it became something that I just had a really strong inner monologue about and really forced myself to like example today I'm coming here there's a seven minute on my google maps I somehow end up on the equivalent of the Sydney Harbour Bridge which is the opposite way to work
So I'm passing work over the side of the freeway.
