He actually claims to have seen the family on two different days.

According to his statement, the Jamison family was up on the mountain the day before they got the coordinates from Peggy.

Apparently, they had seen the property online and they decided to just like drive up and check it out on their own.

But according to him, they had trouble finding it.

So they pulled up to his place, likely since he was like the nearest house to, you know, where the property was.
