One thing that I've often thought about with the hollow bone philosophy is to imagine that hollow bone as a flute and to know that you actually, as a unique being, are that unique flute.
There's no two handmade flutes that sound exactly the same.
They can be similar.
They can be tuned to play notes that are in tune, but they're not the same.
And we're responsible for our flute.
but we're not responsible for the wind.
That has to flow through us from a higher source.
Waira, this goes directly to your name and you actually do play a flute amongst many other things.
But this idea of taking responsibility for caring for your flute and making it precise for allowing the holes to be in tune with the seven tones of music.
The harmony that every person with ears can hear.
We can hear if something's out of tune, even if we don't know music.
It's a little off.
But we can hear it.
And when we speak and when we walk and when we act, we can actually hear whether our flute's in tune.
And then also whether we're actually the one just blowing it, tooting our own horn, if you will, or whether there's something great or blowing through us and through the instrument that we are.
