Remember when Joseph broke the safety market?
Like they have signed Amon Ross St.
Brown.
They have signed a ton of talent.
to big, big contracts to where a Monroe Freeling, if by year two, year three, when he's on that rookie contract is a starting caliber left tackle, or maybe even a bit better than that, you're making so much more kind of like surplus return on that investment because a tackle of that caliber on the open market is making 25, $30 million a year.
So I think it, they've had a lot of success drafting and apparently Jameer Gibbs, their running back is going to break the running back market.
market.
So like they've had a lot of success drafting good players, maybe at lower value positions, bring in now Monroe Freeling, hope it kind of pans out.
And all of a sudden there's this like surplus savings that you're getting, uh, of him on a rookie contract when you have a lot of other guys being paid a lot of money.
I like it for Detroit a lot, right?
And if he gets 10 plus sacks, they're going to be excited to give that second round pick.
I'd probably want something that's a conditional first, right?
Something that's a second that becomes a first with playoff time or whatever.
I think that the Raiders are going to rightfully so hold Pat on.
I also think that if they're considering in this spot and it's something that's happening live in the draft and Omar Cooper Jr., the Indiana receiver, is available here at 17, so when you could reunite with Fernando Mendoza right away, they'll probably strongly consider it.
That said, it feels like they have a team
They have a team of slot receivers right now.
Trey Tucker, Jalen Naylor.
I feel like they need to figure out who's going to be their big bodied X type.
But I think they consider it.
