And then their other safety is Dante Trader Jr., another fifth round rookie from last year's class.
It's like a very inexperienced,
injury-plagued secondary.
And I know right now the plan is kind of Malik Willis and then figure out the cap down the road because they have $185 million in dead space.
They didn't sign a single free agent after Malik Willis for more than $1.4 million annually.
So I think they're really trying to reset the roster entirely, figure out if this Malik Willis thing is a project.
But take the best player available here at a position that you clearly need.
I think that's the best fit.
It's one of the worst secondaries I've ever seen.
I think considering Freeling at this spot, even though I think they do like the two tackles that they have and are still developing Paul and Banks or whatever, but I think that Freeling is a ball of clay largely.
I think it kind of reminds me a little bit of what Colton Miller was like coming out of UCLA.
You had some injuries.
He didn't play that much.
Not a lot of true pass sets.
And then now at Georgia, you kind of see the same thing with Freeling.
He's similar build, six foot seven, 315.
And I think people want him to be a better offensive lineman in the future.
But what they know he is right now is big, athletic, and like one of the best athletes we've seen at the position of the combine in a while.
