There's guys that come into spring training hitting .450 with all kinds of numbers, and then they don't perform in the season, and there's vice versa where guys don't hit it all in spring.
And, shoot, that made me think of Chris Davis with a K.
I feel like he would come into spring training and not hit a ball hard until the last week and then he'd hit 10 homers the first half of the season.
Right, exactly.
So I think teams have started to realize that there's other measurables that they can account for and look at to help make better education.
Yeah, I think I've made a couple more swing changes that should benefit the way I was being pitched to last year and some of the holes in my zone and my swing.
I think also having the analytics presented and like, hey, these are things that you used to do really well that you've kind of gotten away from, that you can hone back in.
And that's been a focus of mine so far this spring training, which has been exciting.
And then I think also carrying the mindset of experience is important.
And instead of being like, oh, what can't I do anymore because I'm getting older?
It's, hey, what can I do because I know I've been around the game, I have experience, and how can I take advantage of those little things?
You know, I think that's the gist of it.
You know, I think it's a little more complex than that.
Hitting always is going to be right because pitchers dictate the action and hitting is always going to be reactionary.
But this is the pitch that you hit best?
I don't know.
Yeah, or the zones that you, you know, or the patience that you have and, you know, your at-bats leads to X, Y, and Z. Okay.
Performance against certain pitchers.
Yeah, no.
