A little bit more angry.
Yeah, basically.
Fiery, passionate.
Yeah, he did.
He spoke with passion.
He even spoke about physically fighting things, like smashing things, rejecting old norms.
And he really presented himself as this strong, violent, outspoken, masculine warrior of God.
For many, Michael gave his followers a sense of purpose and direction through his impassioned preachings, and he often used a metaphor of a cocoon and a butterfly.
And the butterfly was redemption and being saved through Jesus Christ.
But in order to become a butterfly, you would first have to be in a cocoon, which meant kind of disconnecting from much of the rest of the world for a while.
Isolate, yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
In one cassette tape he said, if you want to submit to his kingdom, then you must conform.
You must go with his program.
You must yield.
You can't just do your own little thing or you will pay consequences.
And in another one of his cassettes he said, it's going to be a life of solitude, rejection, persecution, isolation, loneliness, and struggle.
So to really begin to understand Andrea's experience with the Waraneckis, it's important to kind of understand these other followers that came forward, especially in this docuseries, with their own spiritual manipulation.
And we will loop back around to Andrea's story, but it is, I guess, important to note that after she had murdered her children...
I mean, she was being called terrible things.
