I don't think it's disrespectful if someone's like, yo, I got three stacks at 12.
I wouldn't think that's a diss.
I'd be lying if I said Regency bias does not exist, but I don't think it exists in a negative way whatsoever.
Like if I hear a rapper and I ask, yo, where they're from, if they're from New York, am I going to be happy about that?
And be like, yeah, of course.
I probably like more New York rappers based off
where I was from, grew up, listened to that type of music, I probably have more of an affinity for KISS than maybe somebody in the Midwest or the South.
That's in a positive light.
I've never heard someone, and then they said, oh nah, they're from Chicago.
And I went, I don't like them anymore.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's never, yes, there is a bias.
By proxy, wherever you grow up, you're probably going to like that music more because it's right there.
You're going to be excited to champion the people that have the same experiences as you in the same neighborhoods that you grew up in.
You can identify with them more.
Yes, that adds in a piece to it.
