And I thought, this is only temporary.

You know, he's just gone up the road.
We used to see him.
And I was walking up the road one day and there he is looking out at me from a neighbour's lounge window.
Did he stick his finger up at you?
Practically.
And so I went in and knocked on the door.
These were reasonably new neighbours who have small kids.
Diego was living in the lap of luxury with a whole load of adults down in our house.
And I went up and knocked on the door and I introduced myself.
Hello, I'm Barbara.
I live down the road.
I said, I think my cat's in your living room.
And she goes, oh, do you mean chicken?
And I said, his name isn't chicken.
His name is Diego.
