Then he says that this new, reasonable, totally regime-changed government needs to open the strait, or else he'll do a bunch of things, many of which would be in violation of the laws of armed conflict.
Trump is so desperate to make a deal to make it look like he's winning, he is openly talking about hitting desalinization plants.
I can't wait for the crowd that always explains how something could be inbounds, tries to come up with some scenario in which intentionally hitting fresh water supplies for the civilian population in order to gain compliance from the opposition is inbounds.
So much for this being about helping the Iranian people.
I will literally take any scenario.

For those who need it plainly stated, I cannot imagine any scenario in which threatening all the desalinization plants in the country is lawful.
Especially when Trump also states it would be retribution to target the civilian infrastructure.
