Hawaii is an island, and a lot of material takes time to get there.

This would normally be the part in a video about a disaster where we tell locals where they can get assistance and file with FEMA.
The Hawaii page on the FEMA site currently says, quote,
Notice, due to the lapse in federal funding, portions of this website may not be updated and some non-disaster assistance transactions submitted via the website may not be processed or responded to until after appropriations are enacted.
When you search for disaster recovery centers in Hawaii, it says, quote,
There are no active disaster recovery centers for this location at this time.
It is worth noting that Hawaii Emergency Management Agency is saying that at least some FEMA personnel have made it out to do an assessment.

funding for emergency response, airport security, and so on, have now been tied by Trump and the Republican Party to trans sports issues because the party has lost all semblance of having actual policy and is now just running on the memes.
Everybody should buckle up because the longer Trump demands the DHS funding shutdown go on, the worse it's going to get for Americans and the economy.
