No program in college football history has lost more games than Indiana.

But with coach Kurt Cignetti at the helm, they went undefeated this season, including a gutsy 13-10 win over Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game.

The Buckeyes' consolation prize is the No.

2 seed in the playoff.

Georgia is third and Texas Tech fourth, all of them with just one loss this season.

For the first time, two schools outside the major conferences will compete in the playoff.

That'll be Tulane and James Madison.

Rounding out the field are Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Miami.

The first-round games will take place December 19th and 20th.

The winners of those games will move on to face the top four seeds in games on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

The draw sorted all the teams who've qualified for the tournament into 12 groups of four.

After each team plays the others, the top two or three from each group will move on to a knockout round.

The U.S.

got a favorable draw.

They'll face Paraguay and Australia, both of whom the Americans beat in friendly matches this fall.

Their third opponent is TBD.

It'll be the winner of a four-team playoff set for next March between Turkey, Kosovo, Slovakia and Romania.

The favorites to win the World Cup are Spain, England, France, and Brazil.
