Why mention such bothers?

Well, first, there's evidence that a third of Australian school teachers are so stressed they're thinking of leaving those jobs.

And secondly, if classes are going well, science is best offered to children, it seems, as early as possible.

OK, now let's check and ask a teacher, a very special one this time.

Having heard the first part of Chloe's talk, what did you make of the rather startling opening of saying, I hated science?

When talking about squishing, you know, all those ideas about shaving cream and unmeasured bowls and so on, you weren't surprised by that either?

And fortunately, Clay responded by thinking about it and then realising that when she looked around her ordinary life...

Her garden, the sky, you name it.

It was representing science, you know, before you analyzed it.

And so she fell in love with it.

And what she said about how she learned to learn herself.
