He's throwing his fastball with conviction.
The sweeper is pretty good.
It would be also mixed in a split finger.
It acts more like a changeup, so that's been really good pitch for him.
He likes to use it against lefties.
But his command just seems to be a lot better than it's been in years past, and I'm happy for him.
He just seems to have really blocked all that out and forgotten about it.
Chase, you know, as a hitter, you're never going to eliminate Chase, but you can cut back on it.
Right now, he's chasing the high fastball and he's swinging the breaking ball down and away.
And, you know, it's a shame because when he's, I think he's getting a little bit pull happy as well.
When he uses the whole field, just like any other hitter, they're better.
But right now, he's just a little pull happy.
But the pitchers are taking advantage of him.
They're climbing the ladder on him and they're throwing breaking balls down and away and he's just not able to lay off.
I think he's trusting himself and realizing who he is as a hitter.
You know, you look at certain guys around the leg that are able to let pitches get deep in the strike zone.
And he is one of those guys.
He's trusting himself.
You know, when I played, I didn't have a particular quick bat.
So I always felt like I had to go out there and chase the ball.
