And offensively, going into tonight, as I mentioned, they were averaging below 109 points per game in calendar year 26.
That's 40 games worth of data.
And that's second worst in the entire NBA.
Only the tanking Brooklyn Nets were worse.
So you are at a point where even if it is helping your defense some, and I know Ime said before last night's game that they did like still what Tari is doing defensively.
At some point, the offense is so bad that you have to try something else.
So I think that's why we reached the point this week.
It's just gotten so bad with a sustained slump.
I know some people pointed to, you know, Jabari had his shooting slump in January.
This is not like that.
Jabari's shooting slump was basically eight games.
Tari has been below 15% from three, dating back to before the All-Star break.
So we're talking close to 20 games now that he's been below 15% from three.
So I just think you reached a point, your offense was so low.
At some point, if you're second to last in the NBA, it doesn't matter what you're giving up defensively if you just can't score.
So something needed to change.
And especially for that role, for the way this Rockets team is built, at least for this season, I think they clearly view their four most valuable players as KD,
Shingun, Amin, and Jabari.
Those are the core four.
Those are the guys that since training camp have been entrenched starters.
