that girl i met so he is after all still hung up on lucy whom he seemed to be trying to put out of his mind when he was more committed to the brotherhood earlier in the season but no he is clearly still pining for his vault girl here and searching for her and we do get an interesting conversation between maximus and thaddeus which again touches on one of the core themes of the series

And Thaddeus is not so willing to allow that Lucy is the being of pure light and goodness and everything sweet and nice the way that Maximus sees her as.
