We'll talk about all of this and more in this episode of the Midas Touch podcast.
I'm Ben Myselis, joined by Brett and Jordi.
We've got a lot to discuss.
I mean, over the weekend, folks, Donald Trump announces on a social media post that American naval forces are going to be going into the Strait of Hormuz, escorting ships there.
And then he says this is part of something called Project Freedom, which they announced last week, something by that name as well, which wasn't actually sending our Navy into the Strait of Hormuz.
It was working in a defensive way to just coordinate and provide information to like insurance companies that are insuring ships in the region.
So, but Trump said, we're escorting ships.
And then so CENTCOM kind of had to like get behind that and said, yeah, that's what we're doing in a defensive way.
And, you know, it was just creating this escalatory ambiguity.
And I think Iran saw certain ship movements from the United Arab Emirates, two ships, the South Korean ship and a UAE ship tried to test Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz.
So Iran knocked out these two ships, which was initially denied by the Trump regime.
Then I think there was an attempt by the U.S.
to maybe bring some of its Navy ships in.
Then Iran responded with warning strikes, and then the U.S.
Navy ship pulled away.
And then Iran hit UAE's Porta Fuggera, where there's like an oil pipeline there that was being used by the UAE to try to send oil around the blockade.
And so we have a video of what it looked like right now, that Porta Fuggera.
So that's where we're at right now.
