Democrats are saying, let's just do a three-year extension on the Affordable Care Act tax credits.
Let's do a three-year extension.
The American people need this.
Let's make it clean.
Let's make it easy.
And then we could utilize the time to methodically think through if there are better plans out there.
Personally, I believe single payer Medicare for all is the way to go.
That's what my view is.
I understand why Obamacare couldn't go that far and try to deal with a system where you have private insurance that's given through employers and trying to expand a risk pool to allow people to get health insurance who otherwise didn't 20 million, 30 million uninsured people before the Affordable Care Act.
and the Affordable Care Act has literally saved people's lives.
Saved lots and lots of people's lives.
That's why it's generally popular despite it costing too much.
The subsidies have helped bring down the costs and those are what are said to expire.
So when those expire, people are gonna not be able to pay for it.
So let's just extend it.
And if you MAGAs have a better plan, come up with one, but it's not a better plan to say, oh, we're just gonna give people 2000 bucks.
And that's it, that's your health insurance.
One, because you're not gonna do it.

$2,000 is not going to be able to help people with healthcare costs that are more than $2,000.
