And so the question now is how they get out of that.

So good news, which has been a rarity for the Blue Jays on the injury front this year.

But basically, they're all going to be tentatively slated to pitch against the Red Sox AAA team this weekend.

So that would start with Cease on Thursday, Scherzer Friday, and then...

Bieber, potentially Saturday, potentially Sunday.

We'll see.

That will depend on a bullpen session that he's going to throw in Toronto today on Wednesday.

So that's really good news that these three are now at AAA.

Now, in the case of Cease, it's possible it could be one and done because he hasn't missed that much time.

Then you get to Scherzer.

He's probably going to need at least, well, they're going to wait and see how he feels after this season.

where he's trying to get to 60 pitches.

It's possible he'll need another start or two at AAA.

They didn't really want to speculate on that.

And then as for Bieber, he'll need a couple.

So this will be the first of at least two AAA rehab starts.

But...

Cease maybe just one away and Scherzer and Bieber now at AAA.

This is the closest that they've been in a while.

And so Scherzer has been out since the end of April.
