They're putting lipstick on a pig basically and rebranding it.

And so that was kind of what happened a lot of the time.

Yeah, I decided I'm like, you know, this guy is just going to keep fucking me over.

So I he had this database.

He said, hey, you know, do you do you have anybody that can still buy this database?

and it had all these investors on it.

So I literally took the database, made a copy of it and sold the database for a few grand just to survive while I'm having my kid.

And then I went and a buddy of mine from high school was working at a firm in San Francisco and he calls me and he's like, Ben, I think I'm working, I'm in the same business you're in.

We're doing penny stock stuff, this and that.

I'm like, yeah.

So I get on the phone with the CEO of that IR firm, Investor Relations,

And he goes, why don't you fly up to San Francisco?

I'm interested in talking to you.

I'm interested in buying the database.

So he buys the database and then he's like, why don't you come to work for me?

And I was looking for a job at the time anyways.

So he'd fly me up to San Francisco like, you know, every at least a month out of the, you know, a week out of the month.

And so I'd go there, work at the office, and I shook up the whole office because he had all these sales guys that were all, like, mousy on the phone and, like, not confident.

And so I'd come in there and be like, this is how you make a fucking sales call, you know, and I'd pump them up.

And then he basically said, you know, why don't we open an office for you in La Jolla down in San Diego?
