President Trump said everyone is fully aware that Iran will agree to have major weapons inspections in order to ensure nuclear honesty long into the future.
Well, you know who is not agreeing to that?
Actually, the Iranian foreign minister.
According to the ministry, quote, our cooperation with the IAEA will continue in accordance with our commitments under the Safeguard Act and the decisions of our parliament.
Okay, so what does that mean precisely?
Commitments under the decisions of the parliament.
The parliament has not, they've not approved any of this.
In fact, the Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmail Bakhai, he said, quote,
We never had any meeting with the director general of the IAEA, nor do we have any plans to allow IAEA inspections of Iranian nuclear facilities that suffer damage resulting from the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime.
Fundamentally, no protocol or guideline exists in this regard.
So the vice president says regarding the inspectors, we're going to see what Iran actually does.
Well, OK, so again, why does that matter?
Because one of the things that Vance has said over and over and over is no performance, no money.
There is only one problem.
Money's already going.
It's already going to the Iranians.
There's the vice president.
Whether good faith or bad faith, you can't trust anybody's words.
You have to trust what they actually do.
Letting in the inspectors is a big deal.
