How do you deal with expectations, pressure, and even just outside of that, just there's a lot on your plate.
A lot of people are still trying to figure it out at your age without a lot of responsibility on them.
You have a ton on your plate, and yet you seem to handle it without it getting to you.
What is that like for you?
And correct me if I'm wrong, but talking to some of your fellow starters and other pitchers, they had told me that they're seeing more of your personality this year.
Not that they didn't last year, but they're getting to know you more as a person.
Do you feel...
more comfortable in there i mean you you were thrown in right in the middle of the race last year is it a bit of a different feel for you around the team now that you've done it with them for a little bit yeah i mean build a bond with these guys um and i'm getting to learn more about about the other guys in the clubhouse so it's it's a cool trade-off trey thank you so much for the time and good luck with your upcoming starts all right thank you
Coverage of Blue Jays baseball continues on the Sportsnet Radio Network.
I'm Ben Schulman alongside Blue Jays right-handed pitcher Tommy Nance.
Tommy, thanks so much for your time.
Thank you very much.
Very nice to talk to you as well.
Wanted to get into your career because now you've been, you know, staple with the Blue Jays second half of last year, especially coming into this year.
But you did not have necessarily the, you know, we watched Kevin Gosman pitch last night.
The Kevin Gosman start where you're, you know, star at an SEC school, drafted in the first round.
You really grinded your way up to the big peaks.
Starting back, correct me if I'm wrong, in high school you went through some significant injury and then again in college.
Can you take us through a little bit of your early career before you ended up in affiliated baseball?
I want to go back for a sec.
