There is huge disappointment.

We haven't qualified for World Cup.

But immediately, instead of just going, oh my God, we're all disconsolate, so much despair, this is agonising, it's so cruel.

We have that positivity and those green shoes from this campaign that we know when this situation comes around again, we will have learned from it and we have a team that are going to grow so much from this.

you know, it's the oldest cliche when it comes to losing a football match but win or learn and Ireland are going to learn so much from this and a team that are going to be able to bounce back and the disappointment that we felt last Thursday is going to be absolutely minuscule in comparison to the joy that we will feel when we do qualify for a major tournament again.
