He's worked his way up from being a player, I suppose, in the lower leagues in England.

Obviously had cotton on to the idea that he wants to be a coach quite early in his career as well, had done his coaching badges.

had done, you know, has worked in a couple of different roles as well.

Obviously he worked at Rochdale and did a pretty good job at Rochdale.

And he actually used the Irish market quite interestingly as well to sign players.

And then he went to Man City and he was like kind of working with Enzo Maresca and working with Pep Guardiola and working with their loan players and their kind of their loan system and then working with the multi-club system.

And then he was at Leicester with Riva Nistelrooy and working as a coach there and learning from someone like, you know, the Dutch school as well.

It was clever enough not to take that job.

And then he was kind of thinking, you know, where is his next move?

And I know there was links to maybe taking a job in Japan.

around that yeah and taking a job somewhere on the continent and obviously you've got family and different things it's quite hard but the job at Cardiff City is like a really attractive one decent budget some really good young Welsh players in that academy this is the thing just on that they actually haven't had that budget in terms of going to sign players over the last little while because of the kind of half
