There was an attempt at that moment by Fischer Black to like jump towards it, but then there was actually one of the two, I think it might've been van der Breggen on the wheel.

So she gets a small gap.

And then later we see two riders jumping towards it, which is Elisa Longoborghini plus Niamh Fischer Black once again.

So we have three riders up the road.

And based on the snippets of highlights we had at the start of the broadcast, the next step was...

Voting and Van der Breggen looking at each other.

And am I wrong in suggesting that at this moment, it looked like Dixon and De Vries went up the road while Van der Breggen and Voting were looking at each other in the third group?

And that's how she kept getting gaps.

Yeah, but the confusing thing to me is even before the broadcast started, the fact that Dixon and De Vries were in front of the group of Voting and Arnavon Der Breggen, before we even get to the point where Dixon ends up pacing for Voting.

Because if we step back from the race for a second, Patrick, Arnavon Der Breggen is in the Maglia Rosa.

Voting, right now, has not been able to put any proper gap on Arnavon Der Breggen.

So...

Brain says the only strategy for Wollring to win this race is if FDJ Suez, Dixon, and Wollring put Anna van der Breggen in a position where she has to do all the riding behind Niedermeyer, because Niedermeyer is getting the Malle Rosa virtually at this point in the race.

So if you force Van der Breggen to spend all her biggies in the valley, then maybe you can drop her on the next climb.

That was my thought process here.

They don't actually do that here.

Because like you said, if the Jesuas keeps bailing out on Van der Breggen, keeps riding her back into the virtual Maial Rosa, the second the time goes to 1 minute 50, they bring it back to a minute 20.

It didn't look to me like Van der Breggen was relaying super hard either, though.
