And I think it took until maybe 56k to go, maybe two, three kilometers from the top where Volring attacks again.
And this is where we do see the ELBs of the world, the Valieresses of the world dropping.
What I do see right now is, okay, van der Breggen,
she's looking fine now reusser she's looking relatively fine i won't say perfect at this point but right now they're still looking good holmgren looks really good and also neither meyer starts to look pretty good but on the next climb we'll go even more into that but we get over this climb basically with the gc riders together and it's the next time the costa climb the second last one that um the gap is down to 20 seconds by the foot of the climb and we see trinca colonel
anticipating from that gc group getting caught quickly because uh if the break is almost getting caught then there's no point in dixon being up there again so she can start helping in the voting group and from this point onwards on the second last costa climb there's a maybe five minute period it felt like five minutes of lauren dixon torturing everyone in that group and the initial acceleration of dixon with voting in the wheel
caused Reusser to move from in front of van der Breggen to behind van der Breggen and van der Breggen to drop off the wheel of that first echelon of riders and they were both dropped at that point Reusser and van der Breggen and Lauren Dixon is still at the front hammering it for the next two and a half minutes
But Niedermeyer, Patrick, she was nose-breathing.
I agree.
I agree with you.
Because when Lauren Dixon was pushing in the final portion of that climb...
Volring was grimacing to the point that it didn't look like she could attack.
And then when eventually Dixing goes off the front, maybe just before the top of the climb, 500 meters or something is my assumption.
Volring does move, but it's like one of those moves where you don't see an acceleration in it.
It's the continuation of the tempo.
I think she was about 30-ish seconds behind at the top of this second last climb.
And at this point, the front group is down to Voting, Holmgren, Niedermeyer, Cavallar, and van der Brecken, who returned after dropping with Reusser earlier.
So...
that's a a five rider group here with just behind that maybe trinca colonel who dropped but just before the top and and dixon who had just gone off the front then we do see the tempo kind of go out of that group in the downhill where then trinca colonel dixon and also elisa longoborghini got returning out of nowhere in this downhill so she was back as well royster didn't return though at this point she was still on a 30 35 seconds went to 37
And then we see Trinca Colonel anticipate in the downhill, similarly to what she did at the foot of the previous Costa climb.
So smart to do so for her because she knows on the actual steep segments, she can't follow these top level climbers.
