And, you know, we go through life trying to fit the image, like the perfect picture that everybody else have, but not our own.
And I was done doing that because I've gone through so much.
I've watched my parents live a life of just working hard, making sure that they took care of us, making sure that they raised amazing women.
And they did.
But sadly, like to watch how they went.
I need to live my true life because they did.
They lived their true life.
They didn't care who didn't like them.
If they wanted something, they went out and got it.
That's what my parents taught me.
Yes, and unapologetically, I'm strong.
People know I'm strong.
My parents raised me that way.
I'm resilient.
My parents raised me that way.
I am living the life that my parents taught me how to live, but doing it authentically and doing it without regret and knowing that when I do leave this world, I lived my life to my full potential without hiding because there's no need to hide.
Again, I've been in rooms that I shouldn't have been in, and I faced a lot of heartache, sacrifice, racial remarks, sexist remarks.
I put myself in positions where I was either the only woman, I was the only person who looked like me in a room because I know that there's more...
There's more people who want to see idols and mentors and people that they look up to because that's what Christine was for me.
