The other thing I just wanted to look at the big picture here, because I know we're going to go through the timeline, Megan, but, you know, Casey does get charged with murder in October and Kaylee hasn't been found yet.
And then she's found in December.
The remains are found.
And within a few months, the prosecution decides to up to ante and and charge her with capital murder, right?
Seeking death.
So for the next three years, there are all kinds of pretrial hearings and lots of motions are being filed.
And all the while, Casey is sitting in a jail cell.
So for three years to her trial in 2011, 2008 to 2011, she's locked up.

If the facts are what you say, Cheney, I don't understand why you wouldn't go to the prosecutors and say, look, this is an accident.
We have proof this is an accident.
Why let her sit in jail for three years?
Or am I being naive?
I've never been a defense attorney, but it just seems like...
you know, prosecutors are, are not unreasonable.

We do not just seek convictions.
We want to do the right thing.
You shouldn't overcharge.
