I think that's the main point is that Sora made a big splash.
It had a big buzz going on for a week or two.
And then it just started going downhill.
There was very little interest in that by comparison.
Many other, you know, sort of video dedicated platforms out there had matched or exceeded what Sora could do.
And so it just wasn't a vital product, especially in the context of open AI.
being overwhelmed by Claude's success in the world of coding, which is a much more lucrative enterprise market space than is video.
Video is very small in enterprise.
It's a little thing over here in the graphic arts unit, whereas coding applies across the board and enterprises are spending a lot of money there.
So Fijisimo, as the head of applications, probably saying, hey, we've got to trim things here.
I like the idea that it was actually taking more compute than it deserved.
And that's part of the calculus that they had.
But more importantly, OpenAI is having to redress a strategy that they took, which was throw out a whole bunch of experiments across the board.
And now they've got to trim it down to the ones that can actually make money for them, because that's at the core of whether open AI succeeds in the long run or not.
