But I wanted to ask you about the year-to-year carryover when you do this process, because we all get excited about prospects, right?
You hear the Canucks sitting there with the best lottery odds, and people are hoping they draft first, and you think, all right, here comes the next rush of talent.
But when you do these lists, and you see year-to-year, and for someone that I kind of looked at this year was David Juracek, for instance.
And you had him much lower on your list this year, because last year he was sitting there at, I think, 20.
And...
Just that moment to kind of look at it and say, oh, wow, the guys slip real fast in this whole process.
Right.
We've been...
talking about him a lot here in the last week we had him on the show last week and i've kind of made this point that i think if we did the draft a year from now that he would be the one that maybe takes the biggest leap between that cluster we'll throw in uh stenberg and mckenna in there like that cluster of the first eight nine guys he might be the one that takes the biggest leap and if you did a year later redraft how it would look
I think sometimes when we talk about need, you know, we talk about like D-Man, Santa versus Wing and all that sort of stuff.
But with this collection of D-Men, is there going to be a stylistic need maybe for the teams that are drafting in this spot of how Reed's game compares to Smith's or to your point, Carl's?
Will we see teams maybe approach it that way rather than saying, oh, Verhoff's the best, so let's just take him?
Yeah, he had some shine there through November and December, and it was like the Smits drumbeat was starting, and then he gets the opportunity in the Olympics.
So he's...
A very interesting player as well.
Now with the other guys being righties, maybe they've kind of taken the shine too.
Just saying, okay, Verhoff, Reed, Lynn, also just kind of stepping up as well.
So it's going to be really interesting.
That's why I asked about the stylistic needs.
If you get to the top end of the draft, let's say the Rangers, for instance, they've got Adam Fox locked in.
