I don't necessarily agree with the timeline of Jim Rutherford being involved.
If you're hiring multiple people to be part of the succession plan to...
Eventually have Jim Rutherford exit the organization.
Could he not just exit the organization now?
Like that part from where we were on Friday, I think we could have seen a different timeline.
But this part of it is different than what we started with because as you just mentioned, it's like, yeah, like the owner is going to have different perspectives than the outgoing GM or someone in business is going to have different perspectives.
Like you do want the robust nature of it all for the different perspectives to align on one person.
That is one of the things I'm...
kind of keeping on the radar here as far as constantly pushing things forward and being on the vanguard of progressive ideas here, as we've talked about with the Gillis era.
But if and when this practice facility gets done, is it going to cross the bare minimum threshold?
It's like, okay, now we're one of the teams that has a practice facility.
Or are you one of the newer teams
technologically advanced ones that's like oh this is like the cathedral that's like the new standard of practice facilities in the NHL and I think you know that it goes to built in Utah in one year yeah like yeah that kind of idea it's like you want to be the thing that everyone looks at and say okay we have to catch up to that rather than okay now everyone stop complaining we have a practice facility
I asked this to Ian yesterday.
I'll ask it to you.
Once they make the hires, what's job one for the next regime?
Is it fixing the culture, or is there something else that you're looking at?
maybe yeah at most but if you compress a season yeah you're gonna have feel those high like a three game losing streak for serious teams this is hell yeah it's brutal and then you think you lose one game you compress 82 down to seven you lose one game especially in the manner in which they did it's like five six game losing streak that's what it feels that way because you think oh well we're we're
we're not going to get back on track.
Yeah.
