The other thing is he's a 24-year-old kid who has been kind of overwhelmed by the major leagues.
whether that's, you know, he's just an individually immature person, whether the challenges of moving to the United States have been too much for him, whether it's just a lack of confidence on the mound, because he honestly hasn't had a lot of success here yet.
So I don't think the Dodgers want to risk losing him mentally, right?
And if he gets sent to the minors, gets yanked out of the rotation at this point, I think he would take it as a very hard blow, a hard thing to swallow.
I think they're afraid they would lose him mentally if they did that.
So I don't see that happening anytime soon.
It's the way they operate.
Every decision they make is not made to, oh, my God, we got to win the next homestand.
We got to beat the Padres in this three-game series.
None of their decisions are made that way.
Their decisions are all made, well, we need to win enough games to get into the postseason, and then we need to be at full strength or as close to it as possible in October.
Everything that they do during the season is done with a view towards October.
The Dodgers do want to get in with the bye.
They want to have the bye.
They didn't get that last year mainly because of injuries.
But, yeah, I think when opening day gets here and the playoff percentages are posted by whichever website does that, it's going to be like 98% for the Dodgers just on opening day.
So that is not a concern for them.
I don't think it's going to be a guy.
I think it's going to be a rotation of a couple guys.
