Austin honestly plays off of Luka well, but plays off of him in a different way.

The aneurysm potential is high, unfortunately.

And those are two guys who have been around the trade block.

Kyle Kuzma has been available at many different points for many different teams at this stage.

There's always some interest, but not overwhelming interest.

And Bobby Portis, wildly productive for the role you slot him into, but has so many little red flags or asterisks or trade-offs to his game that make him hard for a team to really take a swing on.

I don't love it.

I don't either.

I mean, I don't love the Ja Giannis possibility in general.

Maybe the Bucks are desperate enough to do it.

But this is ultimately their problem, right?

They really only have two options.

And it's you either go hard at basically any decent proposal that is put in front of you to try to make this team better as soon as possible.

That would be what investment in this core looks like.

The standing pat middle ground option, I don't think really makes a lot of sense for this team at this stage.

The other option is you make the hard call on trading Giannis.

That's something you don't want to do.
