And Greg's parents agreed.

But Pamela's family was heartbroken.

With no chance of parole.

Today, this is home for Pamela Smart.

Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women, about an hour north of New York City.

She filed appeals on the grounds of excessive pretrial publicity, change of venue, and jury misconduct.

The courts found no merit in those appeals, and they were denied.

While one by one, the teens, now middle-aged men, have been paroled.
