First, three heaps, each with the same number of cards.

And after that, deal three from the right into the center.

Yes.

And you deal that many cards from the center heap into the left.

Just nine cards, Rhoda.

No matter how many cards you began with, you will now be holding nine cards.

Yes, whenever you try that trick exactly as I described it, you will always have nine cards at the finish.

And there is a trick that everybody can do.
