I read the piece, but for anyone who missed it or wants a refresher, what has he had going for him this year in his first full season back, and where do the gaps remain if we look back to peak Sandy versus now?

sandy that is uh you know okay he's back is and i know i know he wasn't uh like a frontline starter for that many years but he was a workhorse guy for a couple of years there before tj said in um you know i don't think anyone else has thrown 228 and two-thirds innings over the last couple of seasons he made 32 plus starts a couple times in a row how impressive is it to you that

You know, he didn't go for length last year, but first year off TJ, he got 31 starts.

And now in year two, he's averaging six and a half innings per start.

Like that is the one thing, even more than the velocity, I would have expected to maybe take a dip post Tommy John.
